God Calls, Consume & Commissions

That's the topic for todays sermon. I really enjoyed the sermon by pastor daniel. =) Service was pretty good and the worship was good too. Great job johann and team! =) Fire Fire Fire!! I'll remember what pastor daniel preached. He said something like this:" Admist all the trying to organise events in the church, build big churches etc etc....wat we all need to draw people to God is FIRE! FIRE that burns within us, FIRE tt makes people wonder why we're on FIRE and where the source of fire's coming from...." What draws the pre-believers around us to GOD is this FIRE that burns for GOD....I want tt fire in my life...and im determined to start where it counts and where i am...in the ARMY! Anyway was really glad today i got to relac relac abit and hang out with friends and my cousins as well. Went for lunch with Soowei Jie, Rachel Choo, Rachael Lim(cousin), Rebecca Lim(cousin) and Matthias Lim(cousin).

We went to Subway at Far East then went for KOPI at Yakun...was really good just to hang out, chill and talk....talking about tt...Soowei Jie really talked a lot....haaaa....all the funny things her kids does ah....wa....joker....this week....live range, and next week field camp!! Wooo.... packed packed packed all the way....thank God for such a refreshing wkend....Have a great wk ahead guys!!!

Random Rants

I've officially ran out of things to blog...cos im stuck in camp 6 & 1/2 days for almost every week since bmt started....and my WORK....lets just say it never seems to end....bleah....i simply have no freedom man...and by the time its nights off for us in the night or time to book out for the wkend im drained and too tired to do anything...its been nuts ever since BMT started...i work day in day out, from the time i wake up till office hours offically ends...AND im still working...either carrying stuff physically or facing the computer the whole day trying to get old debts left by my upper study cleared and at the same time getting the new things done....and worse of all....whenever i go out to relax, have a meal, hang out with friends, go on my off days to rest...my phone's ringing NON-STOP...arrghhh....im gonna shoot someone in the head soon!! (nah, wont happen) check out this new FIG 11 i've got...haaa, cool!!

And for the past few wkends i've been stuck in camp...doing duty and being confined with the newly recruited bmt guys...sigh...when will it end. I just feel like i've got no time for other things, friends, family, church ministry, go take random pictures, go to the beach for some volleyball game, go running....i cant do anything...hopefully after LAB inspection i'll be able to get some break....soon soon.

I feel really bad i haven been able to go for much youth service or invest my time in the ministry and the young people....somemore i promised Pastor Cuixian i'll attend youth at least twice a month...=( POO to me...i hope i'll have time and energy to do that soon....

Frens,pls pray that God sustains me and i'll draw closer to him...feel like im learning more about myself through this whole process and God's teaching me things but i just want some time out with God, to grow again, to go back to the basics and be close to him. I feel so tired and so drained.

Inter-Formation Volleyball competition has ended and we came in 2nd...in total we played 7 games before reaching the finals...and it was an all artillery showcase with us taking on 3DIV...

My one week MC week

This whole week i've been on MC cos i had my wisdom tooth operation...*ouch*...contrary to what many believe....the battle wasn't with the pain from the intensive drilling the dentist did on my teeth(the drill really sounded scary)... or the immense pressure he applied to pull my teeth out....it was something really simple instead....keeping MY MOUTH OPEN!! It was so tiring to keep my mouth open for the whole operation which took almost 40mins. But nevertheless i must say the dentist, whose name's also GIDEON, was really professional...and he did an excellent job on my teeth....haaa....he kept assuring me that the operation's going well and that im doing great....

And i promised the guys i'll blog this....yesterday i went out with Brendon, Sheikh, John and James. We met for supper at Newton Circus. Brendon, Sheikh and I arrived first and we chatted for a long time while waiting for James and John. Then we got really hungry and decided to just order something to eat first. So we ordered 5 BBQ chicken wings and one plate of oyster omelette...and we each had a huge cup of sugarcane juice...we were pretty full after all that...then James and John finally came...so we decided to just order a plate of satay to share since it was what we had intended to do earlier on...and John went to order a plate of Char Kway Teow too...then Sheikh told me he's gonna go walk around and check out this seafood stall that James said was really good....then he came back and told us he ordered alot of stuff....right....initially we believed him when he stopped at stingray and kang kong...after that when he carried on to crab and squid we were pretty convinced that he was lying...only to find out we were wrong...Sheikh really did order all that stuff he mentioned....i still cant believe he really did that....so at the end of the day...one cannot eat seafood guy cos he just had operation(brendon), that leaves us with 4, two full guys(james and i), one semi full guy(john) and one hungry man(sheikh), had to finish 20sticks of beef satay, 20 sticks of chicken satay plus 2 ketupat, one dish of kang kong, one dish of baby squid, one dish of stingray, one dish of 10 fried bread, 4 plates of white rice and one dish of Chilli crab....and that's excluding all the drinks we've had and the char kway teow, BBQ chicken and oyster omelette earlier on....and i seriously cant believe we managed to finish all that....I must admit though i really had a good time with them....encouraging each other to jia you...haaa....and on a serious note i need to start my run soon...i haven been able to do that since the wisdom tooth operation which landed me one week MC and no exercise...

CNY 07

Its the chinese new year season and i had quite a fruitful chinese new year this year...celebrations began as early as 3days before chu yi...it started off with my unit's celebration...my battery was in-charge of organising the event and we held a dodge ball competition between each department in the unit....and guess who emerged as winners....haaa....after that we had our chinese new year lunch....food on the menu was pretty good....oh oh oh...and my RSM flung the yu sheng so high it got stucked on the ceiling....think i'll go get the picture and upload it...the following day we had our individual battery celebration and my battery went down to "hey hey hotpot"...apparently opened by mediacorp artist chao guo hui....yup...food was pretty good but the portions were really small....so we ended up ordering a few plates of each item...and i think my battery commander, Cpt Freda, ended up paying alot for the whole meal....haaa...cos we had abalone and etc....all the expensive stuff.

Lastly....(not really, i went for CNY visitation too but not gonna blog all of that here) i had a good and fun mahjong session with my fellow coursemates. Dino, Doris and Steven....and they came to my place without informing me beforehand....haaa...i was like out at my cousin's place lah....but luckily my cousin's place is only 10min away from my house....thanks guys for the mahjong session and the pizza and drumlets u guys bought...

So after CNY break, i went back to my unit on wednesday and we had an artillery relay...ran my heart out and my RSM was even cheering me on upon reaching the finishing line....kind of....he just shouted in hokkien....gin ah....ao bei wu lang lai liao....open ur leg and stride!!! haaaa...i had alot of fun doing the run....and clocked a pretty reasonable timing too....i ran 1.85km under 7min 30secs....must improve my timing even further in my future runs....

Then thursday had a friendly volleyball game with combat engineers. We drew the game as we only played 4sets...think we'll need more practise to prepare for the tournament coming up in march.

Blogging Again

Oh man its been ages since i last blogged. Just a short update. I completed my 4month long course on the 24th of jan and went back to my unit on the 29th. I really miss my coursemates man. It's been such a fruitful journey with them and i really enjoyed my time with them...Thank you guys for being such an awesome bunch of friends to me....special mentions Sheikh, Dino, John, Brendon, Junaidi, Steven, James, Issac, Roy and of cos not forgetting ABANG (malay for brother...haaa) Lyz and Doris....thank you my dear brothers and sisters.

I also got a chance to meet up with Cherlyn and Weiqiang....and of cos the other 7 ex-co members from the prefectorial board who became pilots and put the three of us airplane.....haaa....im evil right....well i hope i can see u guys during the next ex-co meet up session. ha.

So back in unit and now just busy preparing for the ptp/bmt intake in March...and guess wat....im back to playing competitive indoor volleyball....haaa....awesome man. Loved it.
